Catalyst appoints new Director of Land, Partnerships and Pre-Construction

Polly Gardner has been promoted to be Catalyst’s Director of Land, Partnerships and Pre-Construction for its London development team. Polly’s previous role was Head of Development (Land & Partnerships) also for the organisation’s London team.

In her new role, Polly will oversee Catalyst’s approach to securing new land and partnership opportunities that will add to the housing association’s affordable housing pipeline in the capital. She will work alongside Rachael Matthiae, Director of Development Delivery for London, and will report into Richard Smith, Managing Director for New Homes (London).

Having joined Catalyst in 2010 as a Regeneration Officer, Polly has expertise in consultation, estate regeneration and partnership development. She helped secure Catalyst’s role in the regeneration of the Havelock estate in Ealing, and is currently leading on the third and final phase of the Wornington Green estate regeneration in North Kensington. She’s also part of the team working on the consultation, design and planning of the St Ann’s Hospital project in Haringey, in conjunction with the GLA.

Richard Smith, Managing Director for New Homes (London) at Catalyst, said: “I am so pleased to announce that Polly will be our new Director. She has shown throughout her career that she is an exceptional housing professional who is dedicated to making sure our new homes are the best they can be for our future customers. I’m really looking forward to seeing what she can achieve in her new role, and the impact she can make on delivering more affordable housing for London. I’m also very happy the Catalyst has been able to promote from within for the role, as it shows how committed we are to helping colleagues develop their careers with us.”

Polly said: “I am really excited to be starting this new role at Catalyst. We’ve got some great projects in our pipeline, but I’m also looking forward to working with new and existing partners to find and deliver new opportunities to build more homes people love across the city.”
