Catalyst has announced a line-up of 22 building contractors for its new construction framework.
The new framework has a combined contract value of approximately £500m over a four-year period and will help Catalyst deliver affordable housing across London and the South-east.
The successful contractors are also expected to help Catalyst’s projects bring benefits to the surrounding economy. Each new development will help create apprenticeship roles for local people and will make use of nearby supply chains where possible.
Tom Titherington, Executive Director of Property & Growth at Catalyst, said: “Our new framework will help Catalyst drive better value for money and enable us to deliver even more great homes. We also have the benefit of working with contractors that we know and trust and that understand the importance of our core social purpose.”
For a fee, housing associations and public sector bodies will be able to access the framework for their own projects.
Catalyst is one of the leading housing associations in London and the South-east, managing over 21,000 rented and shared-ownership homes. Catalyst’s new Construction Contractor Framework is OJEU compliant and covers six different lots, each based on different geographical areas and values. The framework covers a variety of different types of projects and tenures, including mixed-use new-build and major regeneration schemes.
