Cardo Group has completed its third acquisition in four months with the purchase of building maintenance specialist, Jefferies Contractors Limited. This latest acquisition takes the Group’s annual turnover to £115m and its directly employed staff increases to over 650.
Less than four months after announcing its acquisition of its platform company, LCB Group, a south-west based building maintenance specialist, Cardo Group acquired south-east based Osborne Property Services Limited two weeks ago. West Midlands-based Jefferies has now been added to the Group’s portfolio of companies.
Jefferies was established by Terry Ware in 2008 and, like it’s two stable mates, is a well-respected specialist in the social housing building maintenance sector.
Cardo Group CEO, Liam Bevan, commented: “I am delighted to welcome everyone at Jefferies to the Cardo Group. This is the third company we have acquired with strong shared values and a demonstrable ability to improving the quality, energy efficiency and warmth of social housing homes and other properties.
“This collective reputation gives us a strong foundation to seize emerging business opportunities. The acquisition of Jefferies extends Cardo Group’s geographical reach into the midlands and we are looking to build on that with a target to double Jefferies’ turnover in the next three years.”
Founder Terry Ware will take on the role of Operations Director, enabling him to continue to pursue the passion for delivering excellent services which led him to set the business up 15 years ago. Terry’s long-term fellow Director at Jefferies, Leigh Bullock, also remains with the business, stepping up to Managing Director.
Terry commented: “I am proud of what Jefferies has been able to achieve over the years, from its start as a decorating business to now offering the full complement of building maintenance services, including whole house retrofit. Leigh and I are grateful to the whole Jefferies’ team for the excellent work they do, day in day out. We also offer thanks to our supply change, many of whom have been with us throughout our 15 years. Special thanks go to our lovely clients who give us the opportunity to work in and on their properties and help turn buildings into safe, secure and warm homes.”
Leigh added: “This will provide us with the investment and support of a group determined to prudently and sensibly grow its footprint and which is led by highly respected industry players. This will facilitate our future growth within the market. I join Terry in thanking our staff, supply chain and clients for everything they’ve done for Jefferies over the years and we look forward to working with you all for many more years to come.”
