Catalyst has appointed four new development directors across the group this month, bolstering its development leadership team as it continues its plans to deliver more affordable housing across London and the South East.
Two new directors have joined the Catalyst Counties New Homes team: Claire Bishop joins as the new Director of Development Delivery and David Foster is the new Director of Land, Partnerships and Preconstruction. Both will report into Joe Marshall, the recently appointed Managing Director for New Homes (Counties), and will work together to deliver new homes across the home counties, with a special focus on the Cambridge — Milton Keynes — Oxford Growth Arc.
Rachael Matthiae has joined as the Director of Development Delivery for London, reporting into Richard Smith, the Managing Director for New Homes (London), and will help the housing association deliver its project pipeline in the capital.
Sean Gallagher has joined as Development Commercial Director, working across the group and reporting into Philip Jenkins, Group Development Director. Sean will work with the new homes MDs to support and help deliver Catalyst’s regional development strategy.
Claire’s residential development career spans over 25 years, a member of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH). She has a wealth of experience leading successful development teams in across the home counties and joins from housing association bpha.
David has 14 years of development experience at leading housing associations in the G15, where he has developed expertise in joint ventures, design and planning, and partnership working. He joins Catalyst from Clarion, where he was Regional Director of Partnerships for the housing association’s Central region.
Rachael has over 20 years of development experience across both the private and public sector, working to successfully deliver major mixed-use projects and regeneration schemes, as well as honing her expertise in managing and leading teams with a delivery remit. Rachael joins Catalyst from Clarion, where she was the Regional Delivery Director for the London region.
Sean is a Chartered Management Accountant and joins Catalyst from London and Quadrant, where for 14 years he developed his career across a number of roles with a particular focus on construction, development and sales, his most recent role being Head of Development Finance for the London region
