Abri, one of the south’s largest housing providers, has exchanged contracts with Taylor Wimpey to deliver 44 affordable homes in East Horsley, Surrey.
The new homes are part of a larger development of approximately 110 homes called Ada Gardens being built by Taylor Wimpey in the Surrey village. The mix of affordable homes includes 31 new homes for rent and a further 13 available to buy through Shared Ownership.
Gavin Board, Senior Land Manager at Abri said: “With house prices in Surrey significantly above the national average, there’s a high demand for affordable housing. Abri is dedicated to supporting communities and working in partnership with Taylor Wimpey we hope these new homes will make a big difference to the local community.
“Abri is also committed to playing our part helping customers with the increased cost of living. The homes will incorporate energy-efficient fixtures and fittings, high levels of insulation and zoned heating systems to lower energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint.”
The development is a short walk from the high street and includes a large open green space with play areas and pathways as well as obstacle courses for children which connect to the nearby woodlands.
The new homes will feature a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom homes to meet local need and are expected to be completed by spring 2025.
