
Orbit has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, showcasing significant progress in delivering social value, environmental sustainability and customer support.
The report details how the not-for-profit housing provider is working to maximise positive social and environmental impacts as set out by their 2030 Strategy and supporting Sustainability Strategy.
According to the report, over the last 12 months Orbit has generated £26.3 million in social value benefiting thousands of customers through initiatives like the Better Days programme.
Other key achievements include:
- Delivering 781 new affordable homes, contributing to the UK’s housing crisis solutions.
- 87.84% of properties now rated EPC C or above, reducing energy costs and carbon emissions for customers.
- 36% reduction in carbon footprint with a commitment to becoming carbon neutral in operations by 2030.
- 18.7% of outdoor spaces now support nature’s recovery, with thousands of native trees, hedges, and wildflowers planted.
- Launching a new Zero Waste Approach to reduce waste and promote a circular economy.
