The Off-Site Homes Alliance (OSHA), an alliance currently consisting of 23 housing associations and local authorities, has revealed the volumetric and panelised home manufacturers which have won a place on its new £2bn MMC framework.
The national construction framework for volumetric (CAT 1) and panelised (CAT 2) Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), will look to support Housing Associations and Local Authorities to deliver off-site homes, with the objective of developing 10,000 homes per year through the increased use of MMC technology. The framework will also be supported by a specialist team of commissioned MMC experts across many disciplines, via an OSHA Project Management Office. The Project Management Office will be managed by specialist construction consultancy Cast Consultancy who were successful in their bid to provide the PMO operational services to support members with project delivery.
The framework will be administrated by Great Places Housing Group on behalf of OSHA with the successful firms supplying homes initially to its 23 members and to future new Registered Providers and local authority partners of the alliance.
A total of 13 supply partners were successfully selected, based on their technical competence, price and commitment to social value. The successful bidders were:

Social value pledges, including apprenticeships, work experience opportunities and volunteering hours were proposed by all suppliers and through a collaborative approach OSHA will be seeking these pledges to be applied on every new development.

The MMC framework will run from February 2023 — February 2027.
